Kristi is a PhD student in clinical psychology at the University of New Mexico. She earned her BA in Arabic and psychology from the University of Mississippi and her MPS in clinical psychological science from the University of Maryland. Previously, she worked at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research. Her research focuses on addictions and related mental health outcomes, including compulsive sexual behavior, problematic pornography use, substance use disorder, and gambling disorder. As part of her AIBM fellowship, she is investigating how current technology, particularly AI-generated pornography and paid subscription-based sexual content platforms, may impact men’s mental health and feelings of loneliness.
