Matthew is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Policy at Harvard University and a Graduate Student Affiliate at Opportunity Insights. His research focuses on public and labor economics, particularly intergenerational mobility and social capital. Through the AIBM Graduate Research Fellowship, he will investigate how relative age in school—specifically, students’ ages compared to their same-cohort peers—shapes the development of social capital and long-term economic outcomes for boys and men.
