Sethu Odayappan is a PhD student in economics at the University of California, Berkeley. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in 2023. His research focuses on gender gaps in academic achievement, particularly whether traditional educational interventions have different effects on boys and girls. Before attending graduate school, Odayappan was a research intern at the White House Council of Economic Advisers and an economics research fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
