Patrick Bourke

Maryland men and boys

Patrick Bourke is a senior policy fellow at the American Institute for Boys and Men and serves in Maryland’s Governor’s Office on Children, where he works to address challenges facing young men and boys across the state.

Before joining the institute, Bourke served as acting deputy director of the Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the U.S. Economic Development Administration. He was also program lead and grants officer for the $500 million Good Jobs Challenge, one of the largest federal workforce programs in history.

Bourke holds a master’s degree in higher education and organizational change from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree in African American studies and religion from Oberlin College, where he was a Posse Scholar.
