Initiatives

Turning research into action
Our programs and initiatives translate research into real-world impact by addressing the systemic and cultural challenges boys and men face across education, mental health, employment, fatherhood, and community life. Some initiatives convene partners to drive institutional change, while others generate research and shape policy conversations.
Grounded in data and focused on outcomes, our work intervenes where gaps are widest — creating pathways for boys and men to thrive in healthier, more connected, and purpose-driven ways.
Boys & Men Online
Boys & Men Online researches how online spaces shape boys’ and men’s agency, purpose, and belonging—and uses evidence to inform better policies and healthier digital design.

Modern Fatherhood
The Modern Fatherhood initiative explores the importance of fatherhood for fathers, the role of “father figures” (coaches, mentors, uncles) in the lives of boys and young men, and in the distinctive characteristics of fathering in a modern world.
