Andres is a PhD candidate in the department of Sociology at the University of Pennsylvania. His research interests lie at the intersection of social class and mobility, racialized inequality, and urban sociology. His dissertation focuses on how native born young Latino men understand and experience the labor market and their own social mobility aspirations, especially outside of the context of higher education. Andres has a Masters Degree in Social Science from The University of Chicago and a BA from Wheaton College.
