Chris is a Social Policy & Policy Analysis PhD student at the Columbia School of Social Work. His research interests include intergenerational mobility, poverty, and the social safety net. His dissertation focuses on the causal impact of income in infancy on adult poverty and health. In his work with AIBM, Chris examines whether disadvantaged boys particularly benefit from cash transfers. Before Columbia, Chris was a research analyst at the Brookings Institution, where he focused on inequality, social mobility, and the American middle class. Chris holds an MPA from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
