Gabrielle Penrose

Gabrielle is a PhD candidate in economics at Boston College. Her research focuses on the relationship between demographic change and the macro-economy. Her dissertation explores whether the changing structure of families in the United States can help explain the declining labor force participation of American men. Before beginning her graduate studies, Gabrielle was an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia in the research and financial markets departments. She earned undergraduate qualifications in economics and sociology from the Australian National University.
