Ian Callen is a PhD student in Education Policy at the University of Virginia. His research examines the role of educational opportunity in academic pathways, specifically how students’ access to courses, college majors, and career opportunities is shaped by education policies and procedures. His current work focuses on the influence of institutional factors on students’ educational and career trajectories. Previously, Callen served as a research associate at the CALDER Center at the American Institutes for Research and as an economics instructor at Montana State University.
