Sofia Wilson is a PhD student at Stanford University. Her research focuses on how place, parenting, and policy shape educational and socioeconomic opportunities. As an AIBM Graduate Research Fellow, she examines geographic and policy factors shaping early childhood gender gaps. Previously, Sofia was an Education Pioneers Fellow at Start Early, an education technology leader at Clever and Newsela, and a teacher in Oakland and Boston public schools. She received her BA in Economics from UNC-Chapel Hill and an Ed.M from Boston University.
